Privacy Policy
Summary
- No account, no registration, no advertising, no analytics, no tracking.
- The developer does not collect, receive or store any personal data.
- Your study progress is stored on your device. Optional sync and backup use your own Apple or Google account.
1. Who is responsible
SBF Exam Prep ("the App") is developed by an independent developer. Contact: biniamasnake+sbf@gmail.com
2. Data stored on your device
To provide its features, the App stores the following on your device only:
- answered questions, mistakes, bookmarks and your spaced-repetition schedule,
- quiz and exam results, your study streak,
- settings such as the translation toggle, default quiz length and reminder time.
This data stays in the App's private storage (iOS: app container and App Group shared with the App's own home-screen widget; Android: app-private storage). It is never sent to the developer. You can delete it at any time under Settings → Reset all progress or by uninstalling the App.
3. Optional iCloud sync (iPhone and iPad)
If Sync with iCloud is turned on (Settings), your study progress is stored in your personal iCloud account (iCloud key-value storage) so it is available on your other Apple devices. This transfer is performed by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy. The developer has no access to your iCloud data. You can turn sync off at any time.
4. Android backup
On Android, your study progress may be included in the device backup to your Google account and in device-to-device transfers if you have enabled Android backup in your system settings. This is performed by Google under the Google Privacy Policy. The developer has no access to these backups.
5. Notifications
If you turn on the daily reminder, the App schedules a local notification on your device. No push service and no server are involved. You can turn it off in the App or in your system settings.
6. Internet access and links
All questions, illustrations and sound signals are included in the App; it works fully offline. The Android version does not even request internet access. Links in the App (for example to ELWIS, this website or the app store) open in your browser or store app, where the respective provider's privacy policy applies.
7. No third-party services
The App contains no third-party SDKs for analytics, advertising, crash reporting or tracking, and it does not share data with third parties. On iOS the App does not use the advertising identifier and does not track you across apps or websites.
8. Children
The App is suitable for all ages and collects no personal data from anyone, including children.
9. Your rights
Because the developer processes no personal data about you, there is no data that could be accessed, corrected or deleted on our side. Data on your device, in iCloud or in your Google backup is under your control. If you are in the EU, you may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
10. This website
This website is hosted on Firebase Hosting (Google). When you open a page, your browser transmits technical data such as your IP address, which the hosting provider may process in server logs to deliver the page and keep it secure. The website uses no cookies, no analytics and no tracking.
11. Changes
We may update this policy when the App changes. The current version is always available on this page.
